Chicken Soup For The Soul: The Power of Positive

Written By: admin - Aug• 03•12

So, in a perfect example of life imitating art, or art imitating life, or whatever, on October 23rd the Chicken Soup for the Soul publishing group will release a new volume:

and one of the 101 featured stories, Just Reward, is mine!

Click on the cover to order.

I attended an awesome writing conference in March, The Write Stuff, put on by the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group  (see my ‘about’ page if you wonder if I ever go to writing conferences or classes!).  There was a wonderful woman there, Hana Haatainen Caye, who did a workshop on freelance writing and on selling to Chicken Soup (she used to write and edit for them).  I took what I learned there (yes, even I can learn at 50… something), wrote a story, submitted it and sold it to them.

So – the power of  positive thinking that I will start publishing again seems to have paid off (that’s the art imitating life imitating … thing)

And … fiction publication credit to be announced soon  (it’s been a good summer!)

Thank you for your kind words and… CONGRATULATIONS!

Karen, I’m not surprised by the title, as I said to Bob the other day, sometimes I call Karen when I’m down, because she’s always upbeat!! And then I said she’s always been like that, even when we were growing up, except when I was pestering her or being a pain in the butterias. (if you say that word with a sort of French accent, it sounds pretty authentic, like it could’ve been a real word. Keep smiling and being the winsome woman that you are!! Love, Kim
